Zenfone Max comes with similar design as of other smartphones in Zenfone series. The company went with traditional design by positioning the power button and volume rocker on left side of the devices rather than positioning it on other side. A golden-colored metal strip is running on the edges of device.

The white colored Zenfone Max has got smooth back panel made up of plastic while its black variant has leather like textured back panel. The rear side of this smartphone has got 13MP camera with laser Auto-Focus & LED Flash below which is ASUS logo. On the bottom, you will find Zenfone Logo and speaker. The smartphone weighs just 200 grams and has a curved back. Though it seems to be bit bulky, but it will overcome with its strong features.

Asus Zenfone Max is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The Adreno 306 ensures the quality graphics on this smartphone. 2GB RAM is decent enough to enhance the smartphone’s performance and handle multi-tasking easily. The high-end games like Asphalt 8 & Mortal Combat 5 showed little lag while playing, but the graphics were phenomenal.

Camera

Zenfone Max has got a rear camera of 13MP with laser autofocus and LED flash to shoot gorgeous looking photos. The 5MP front facing camera is good enough for the selfie lovers. It comes with 88-degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture added with features like real time beautification, GIF, animation, HDR, time lapse etc.

Performance

This device can go through easily to handle the daily functions. Few high end games like Dead Trigger 2, Asphalt 8 and Mortal Combat 5 when played over this smartphone showed lag. Though the graphics were stunning, but overall gaming experience was not good. The camera is better than its previous versions. It will not disappoint you. The sound is below average and you may find it very low as compared to other smartphone in its range.
