LeEco Le 1s Eco Review: Value for Money

Today we will review the recently launched Le 1s Eco which the updated version of previously launched Le 1s. It is part of the Make in India initiative. Let us go through the review of LeEco Le 1s Eco smartphone.

Le 1s Eco Review

Design & Built

Le 1s Eco is built with metal body and its screen is protected with corning Gorilla glass 3. The smartphone has got a minimal look with LED notification light, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, receiver, and a front facing camera on the top. At the bottom bezel, you will find home key and back key, which will only light up if the display is on.

Le 1s Eco measures in 174.10 x 74.20 x 7.50 mm in dimensions and weighs just below 170grams. The primary camera is accompanied by LED light on top-left at the back panel. The fingerprint scanner sets at the back of this smartphone in the centre, just above the LeTv logo. A 3.5mm audio jack is accompanied by IR blaster at the top. You can use IR blaster while using your smartphone as a remote through Remote control app.

USB Type C port can be founded at the bottom with loudspeaker grilles on both sides of the port. The actual loudspeaker grilles reside on the right-side edge. On the left, you will find a dual SIM tray and on the right there is Volume rocket and power button.

Display

Le 1s Eco comes packed with 5.5 inches full HD IPS LCD display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 403ppi. The display is well protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The colour reproduction is saturated and the device comes with few colour modes. The viewing angles are awesome with deep blacks.

Camera

A sheer delight for Le 1s Eco users is its 5MP front-facing camera that is powerful enough to capture stunning selfies. The rear camera of 13MP is equally good and comes with LED flash. You can capture stunning photographs in day mode. The HDR mode looked promising too. There are plenty of features in camera resembling iPhone.

Like it has slow recording, standard recording, Panorama mode, and standard photo mode too, which is accompanied with different filters to make the photos look wonderful. You will be able to shoot 4k videos with it as well. The day light shooting showed proper colour balance and saturation while the imaged clicked at night were little blotchy. Overall, the camera delivered awesome photos.

Software and UI

Le 1s Eco comes running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and is updatable to Marshmallow (Android 6.0). The user interface installed in it is LeEco’s own EUI 5.5. The skins and the theme can be easily downloaded for free from LeEco shop. The icon set is also changed as compared to Le Max and this smartphone is certainly installed with more themes. You will surely love to use this smartphone.

Hardware

Le 1s Eco comes with octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 chipset clocked at 1.83GHz. PowerVR G6200 graphics are added to it to improve the overall quality of display. The 3GB RAM is monstrous enough to handle multitasking with ease. Dual SIMs can be easily used simultaneously.

Performance

Le 1s Eco smoothness will be loved by its users. The sound quality is just awesome. A powerful Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and PowerVR G6200 graphics makes game playing a joyful experience. The heavy games like Dead Trigger 2, Asphalt 8 and few more ran phenomenally without showing any lag.

No heating problem was spotted in this device even when multiple applications were used simultaneously. The device worked smoothly without showing any lag or delay in its working. The camera of the device is another delight for the users.

Storage & Connectivity

Le 1s Eco comes with 32GB internal storage memory, but it cannot be expanded unfortunately. Talking about Le 1s Eco connectivity, the device comes with different connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, 3g, 4G, GPS, Compass, and Accelerometer. But, the radio lovers will feel disappointed due to absence of radio on this smartphone.

Battery and Price

Le 1s Eco comes with non-removable 3000mAh Li-ion battery and the battery performance is disappointing too. The battery lasted only for 5hours 40 minutes when WhatsApp was used in this smartphone continuously connected with 3G. Though, the battery supports Type C fast charging.
